Please see our main page for information around the Pharos server move, current printing problems, etc.
Below are some of the basic print drivers used for Pharos Secure printing to the Copier Program fleet. If you need a Pharos direct print driver please contact the Copier Program. We generally advise against direct printing except to IP printers and Pharos-enabled devices that are in the room with you (for security reasons, among other things).
If you need drivers for IP printing, please contact ITS through its “Service Now” ticketing system, and request to be connected to your Copier Program device.
PC
- Popup driver installer for PCs – Ricoh Secure Printing
Macintosh
Pharos Secure Printing is particularly sensitive to Mac OS and Ricoh device type. The two installers below will set up your Mac with the PPDs for most of the Copier Program’s Ricoh devices.
Once you have clicked any of the three “installer” links below, press the blue <Download> button in the first window, then the <Download anyway> button in the second window. While Google can’t scan the .dmg files for viruses, we have!
In addition, you need to install the Pharos Secure Printer Popup software using the installer and instructions below.
If you cannot tell which model device you’re trying to use, need help with installing the Pharos popup driver, or have any other questions, please contact the Copier Program.
Linux
Printing Pharos Secure prints from Linux is a detailed process, and requires setting up a specific CUPS printer on your computer. There are no Pharos popups for Linux.
The instructions for setting up a CUPS printer for Pharos Secure printing can be found here. Pharos Secure printing has been successfully tested on the following varieties and versions of Linux/CUPS (we stopped at this point as users of a newer variety of flavors report success with the instructions):
Redhat v6.x and v7.x
Fedora v6, v7, v25
CentOS v6 and v7
Ubuntu 16.04
Debian 8.7
CUPS versions: 1.5.3, 1.7.5, 2.1.3, 2.2.0
